to GOD be the GLORY
~ To Keep Pressing On ~

To keep pressing on,
to Jesus we need to press in
to keep on, keeping on . . .
we need to run away from sin.
To reach the high calling,
on God we must keep our eyes
to reach up to heaven
we need to focus on the prize.
To get to the goal,
to our Savior we need to cling
to get to the finish line
we must soar on eagle wings.
To obtain the reward,
on the Holy Spirit we need to rely
to obtain the treasure
our worldly desires we must deny.
To keep pressing on,
to Jesus we must give Him our all
to keep on, keeping on . . .
on God’s power we need to call!

†Brethren, I count not myself
to have apprehended: but this
one thing I do, forgetting those
things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto
those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for
the prize of the high calling
of God in Christ Jesus.
Let us therefore, as many
as be perfect, be thus minded:
and if in any thing ye be
otherwise minded, God shall
reveal even this unto you.â€
