~ Going Home ~

I know the valley is before me,
there’s nothing for me to fear
alone I’ll walk death’s path
but, God promises to be near.
His love shall be my comfort,
His strength will get me through
on the other side of the shadow
His light shines bright and true.
I will go to sleep in darkness,
awake to find eternal peace
His glory will bring me happiness
my joy will never end or cease.
The shadow looms ahead of me,
in a future time that is unknown
but, I haven’t anything to fear . . .
for, I’ll just be going home!
