Look not to the past,
don’t stop and turn your head
instead look to the future
with Jesus up ahead.
Don’t reminisce,
on that which is already done
rather let your heart
to Jesus be eternally drawn.
Look not to the past,
remember not your regrets
instead look to the future
and the soon coming events.
Don’t agonize,
over what once gave you pleasure
rather let your mind
dwell on your heavenly treasure.
Look not to the past,
don’t look to where you’ve been
instead look onto the cross . . .
and the washing of your sin!
