I lift my eyes to heaven,
for there I know I’ll find
rest and support . . .
for my heart and mind.

I look past my worries,
to find my stronghold
my Lord is waiting there
to fortify and uphold.

I raise my eyes to God,
He offers a hiding place
a refuge where I’m covered
with His almighty grace.

My help comes from above,
where God is ever-present
He comes to my rescue
when my sins to Him I repent.

I lift my eyes to heaven,
for there I know I will  find
peace and true contentment
to fill my heart and mind!
