to GOD be the GLORY

~ My Soul’s Destiny ~

I’ve entered the race,
I’m going for the gold
to win it I’ll need . . .
to be brave and bold.

If I’m to finish well,
I’ll need to work out
my faith in Jesus
and shed any doubt.

I don’t want to run,
out of energy or steam
lest the crown of life
I won’t be able to redeem.

My eyes are on the future,
I’m in it for the long-haul
I want to hear Jesus say . . .
My servant, who was faithful.

My heart is set to prevail,
so to claim my victory
because heaven for me . . .
is my soul’s destiny!
