#throwbackpoem: Contemplating My Faith

to GOD be the GLORY

~ Contemplating My Faith ~

By Deborah Ann

Sometimes to myself,
I have a long talk . . .
I ponder how I’ve walked
the faithful walk.

I dwell on my hope,
with care I think about
the times I trusted God
and those full of doubt.

Sometime to myself,
I sit and meditate . . .
with fear and trembling
my faith I contemplate.

I dwell on my Savior,
all He’s done for me
how He’s given me hope
in things I want to see.

Sometimes to myself,
I have a long chit-chat . . .
knowing my salvation
I’ll always need to work at!

Philippians 2:12

Wherefore, my beloved,
as ye have always obeyed,
not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my absence,
work out your own salvation
with fear and trembling.
