Humble me Lord,
into submission
help me to make
a heartfelt transition.
Teach me all about,
true obedience
so I may give to You
my full allegiance.
Humble me Lord,
no matter the pain
break me free from
sin’s cursing chain.
Show me how to live,
a life lowly and meek
give me the strength
to turn the other cheek.
Humble me Lord,
until I’m fully submitted
so I may tender to You . . .
a heart that is committed!
