~ A Warm Summer Day ~

Give me a warm summer day,
a cool breeze on my face
and I’ll tell you all about . . .
my Father’s mercy and grace.
For when I’m basking in,
the warmth of His love
I find myself engulfed
in His peace from above.
Give me a long lazy day,
with nothing else to do
and I’ll tell you just how
Jesus making all things new.
For when I’m just chilling,
His favor consumes me
and all I can think about
are the things I can’t see.
Give me a warm summer day,
far from the heat of things
and I’ll tell you all about . . .
the hope my Savior brings!
