I want to be . . .
a sweet-smelling savor
to my God, I want to be
just like my Savior.

I want to learn,
all about self-denial
I want endurance
when facing any trial.

I want to serve,
not expecting back
I want to give
what others lack.

I want to be faithful,
even if I suffer
I want patience
to be my soul’s buffer.

I want to love,
with a quite gentleness
I want to be humble
full of forgiveness.

I want to pray,
through all things
I want the purity
His Spirit brings.

I want to be . . .
just like my Savior
I want to have His . . .
sweet-loving nature!
